
Born in Cesena in 1960, he lives are works in Milan and has designed ceramic wall tiles for Ceramiche Ascot, Gabbianelli, hi-fi accessories
for Ross Electronics, cell phones for Fujitsu, table and kitchen-ware for Lagostina, Santandrea, Guzzini, Cierre Accessories, carpeting
for Louis de Poortere, eyewear for Esprit, furniture for Fontanaarte, Kristalia, Bonacina, Steelcase Strafor, lamps for Fontanaarte, and
Lumencenter. He deals with research and ‘concept design’ projects concerning materials and products for Italian and foreign
enterprises, interior design for retail outlets, showrooms, furnishing and worked on the new ‘Marui’ department store in Tokyo with the
‘concept design’ studio of Osaka, inaugurated in April 2009.
He has been design director of Cierre Accessories, the enterprise that manufacturers tableware and accessories, since 2001.
Since 1992, he has been producing his own collection of contemporary carpets with ‘Warli’, which were first distributed by Moroso
and since 2009 on an exclusive basis by ‘Flowers’, the company that creates environmentally-sound furnishing accessories and light fittings.
Many of his projects have been selected for international design exhibitions or have won design competitions, one of which in 2005 for
the ADI Design Index with ‘Interiors’ on behalf of Ascot Ceramiche, for the best design products. In 2008, he also took part in Turin’s
‘World Design Capital’ event with Geodesign, and received the ‘Creative and innovative enterprises’ award for ‘Flowers’.
He is teacher of design at Faenza’s ISIA and has conducted workshops in various different European, Asian and North American
universities.
